Thomas J. Nelson, President of Nelson Financial Group, is a lifelong resident of Utica. He is a graduate of Utica College and has a Masters in Financial Services (MSFS) designation from The American College along with the designations of ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) and CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter).
Tom is a Registered Representative and a Financial Adviser offering Investment Advisory Services. He served many years on the Utica College Board of Trustees and currently is a member of the Investment Committee. He is the former President of the Utica Industrial Development Corporation and former Board Member of the Salvation Army and Utica Symphony. Tom currently serves as a member of the Upper Mohawk Valley Regional Water Finance Authority and the Mohawk Valley EDGE.

Kyle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Syracuse University at Utica College. He has earned his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) designations from the American College of Financial Services, and a Certification in Long Term Care (CLTC) designation from the Corporation for Long Term Care Certification. Over his career Kyle has been a proud supporter of many community organizations including serving on the boards of the Center for Leadership Excellence (formerly Leadership Mohawk Valley), the Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce, the CNY Vision Foundation, and was a fouding member of the Catalyst Group of the Greater Utica Chamber. He has also volunteered many hours with organizations like The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties, Utica University, The United Way, Habitat for Humanity, and the Car 100 Club.

Craig D.
